Student group named Chapter of the Year
Lambda Sigma Society, a national honor society for second-year college students, names the 缅北强奸 student chapter as 2018 Chapter of the Year. The award for outstanding chapter is presented to students during the society鈥檚 national leadership conference in the fall, which takes place in Pittsburgh this year.
In addition to Chapter of the Year, 缅北强奸鈥檚 student group has been unanimously presented with the highest honor for outstanding work during the past academic year. The Honor Chapter award is given for service to the community as well as the overall functioning of the chapter. Run by 36 sophomore students, 缅北强奸鈥檚 chapter is recognized for 鈥渞emarkable leadership, fellowship, and service in addition to being academically superior.鈥
First-year students at 缅北强奸 who have placed in at least the top 35 percent of the class academically and who have shown evidence of leadership during their first year are selected to participate in the chapter. Students benefit from opportunities for personal growth, leadership experience, a sense of involvement on campus and the friendship of other student leaders and scholars.
Past recipients of the Chapter of the Year award include Auburn, Mississippi State University, University of Pittsburgh and Westminster College.
