Emergency Alerts Notification System - Ã山ǿ¼é Omnilert

  • To protect the health and safety of our community, Ã山ǿ¼é uses the notification system to send emails, text messages and other forms of emergency communication. The system is used for all campus emergency types, including, but not limited to, inclement weather, power outages and gas leaks. Below are instructions to register for Omnilert and to update your password. Your subscription MUST BE REACTIVATED yearly, so please check your subscription today!
  • How to Setup an account for Omnilert
    • Navigate to 
      • Click ‘Sign Up’
      • It is recommended to use Ã山ǿ¼é username and password to login
      • Select the optional groups from which you wish to receive notifications
      • Enter phone number and email to receive notifications and click â€˜Add New’
      • Validate phone number and email address
  • How to Change the Password for the Omnilert Account
    • Navigate to 
      • Click ‘Login’
      • Login to your Omnilert Account
      • Select ‘Account’ from the top bar
      • Enter your current password
      • Enter your new desired password in the provided boxes
      • Click ‘Update’

 

Active Shooter

Ã山ǿ¼é Public Safety, along with local and state police have adopted the FBI's accepted law enforcement response procedures to contain and terminate such threats as quickly as possible. The following guidelines taken from those sources will enable students, faculty, and staff to take appropriate actions for yourself and are intended for emerging or in progress situations. The bottom line is:

  • Run – If you can get to a safe location, do so
  • Hide – If you cannot get to a safe location, find somewhere to hide that you can lock and/or barricade yourself
  • Fight – If you cannot get to a location to hide and your life is in danger, you may be forced to attempt to incapacitate the shooter.
